Architects: They design a building and are state licensed to design the work.
Professional Engineers: Makes sure the architectural design will work and withstand the elements. They are state licensed to do their work
General Contractor: They construct the building using the architectural and engineering drawings and apply for building permits from the building department and are responsible for completion of the work. Architects and Engineers are not Construction Industry Licensed Board Certified General Contractor.
